Atara Bio Announces Proposed Offering of Common Stock
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., July 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Atara Biotherapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq:ATRA), a biopharmaceutical company with a focus on developing innovative therapies for patients with debilitating diseases, today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of shares of its common stock and expects to raise gross proceeds of approximately $125.0 million. In addition, Atara Bio expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15 percent of the number of shares of common stock sold in connection with the offering. All of the shares in the offering will be sold by Atara Bio.
Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. are acting as joint book-running managers for the proposed offering. William Blair & Company, LLC, Canaccord Genuity Group, Inc. and JMP Securities LLC are acting as co-managers.
A registration statement related to the offering has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
